How the calculation works
This calculator determines the volume of a rectangular prism. It multiplies the length by the width to find the area, then multiplies by the depth (converted to feet) to find cubic feet.
Since concrete is sold by the cubic yard, we divide the cubic feet by 27. We recommend adding a 10% contingency to your final order to account for spills, uneven subgrades, and settling.
